The MSRA StarTrack Seminar Series is designed to promote academic exchange and collaboration between StarTrack Scholars and Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA), encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue and fostering long-term partnerships across research domains.
2025 MSRA StarTrack Seminar will be held offline on July 15 at MSRA Beijing, featuring three major segments that highlight this year’s key themes and areas of inquiry.
The seminar will begin with the Invited Research Talks of MSRA, where distinguished MSRA researchers will present the latest breakthroughs and emerging trends in AI-related fields. This session serves as a window into the research culture and frontier directions pursued at MSRA.
Following this, two curated sessions of the Idea Sparks Panel will provide an interactive platform for StarTrack Scholars and MSRA researchers to share ignite new ideas and cutting-edge work:
- Idea Sparks Panel I – From Vision to Deployment: Scaling Multimodal Foundation Models for Real-World Impact
- Idea Sparks Panel II – Understanding Efficiency through the Lens of Intelligence
This seminar is designed as an open platform for interdisciplinary dialogue between StarTrack Scholars and the broader MSRA research community. Through in-depth topic panels, focused discussions, and informal exchanges, we hope to spark fresh thinking, uncover shared interests, and seed future collaborations across research domains.
